Luna Park

Luna Park amusement park, at Milsons Point, immediately west of the Harbour Bridge, was at its peak in the 1930s, when thousands of people flocked across the harbour on the new bridge. The park closed in the 1970s, but was proclaimed a public reserve and restored, retaining most of the original features. In 2004 it got renovated and eventually reopened to the public. When we stayed in our temporary accommodation in Milsons Point, we were just above this park, looking down onto it every day.
