Pets in Turramurra

End 2005: We had moved from prime waterviews in Birchgrove into the bush in Turramurra. There, each and every morning noisy birds wake us up, and when it rattles in a bush next to us it is most likely a lizard that we can offer in almost every size from tiny (4 centimetres) to large (1 metre). Most predominantly however, we feel like living in a bird sanctuary due to the thousands of birds. The following pictures are guaranteed to have been taken in our own garden in Turramurra.

Sydney Funnelweb – drowned in our pool

Kakadu in our Christmas Bush

Puff, our house dragon. This female water dragon lives in and around our pool.

Puff on the jar with the dead Funnelweb.

Noisy Miner — don't know why they are dubbed "Miner", but "Noisy" is obvious ...

We sacrificed some flowers to watch these caterpillars grow (Impatiens Hawk Moth, Theretra oldenlandiae).

What's the reason behind the St Andrew's Cross Spider's name?!

A Crimson Rosella is about to shred above mentioned Christmas Bush.

No, it's not the photo which is upside-down ...! Rainbow Lorikeet at a Grass Tree Spike.

Who is disturbing me at breakfast?

A lot of noise in front of our bedroom
