Queen Victoria Building

The huge, sumptuous Queen Victoria Building (QVB) was built in 1898 in the style of a Byzantine palace to house the city's fruit and vegetable market. Today, it houses about 200 shops, cafes, and restaurants. The QVB is a fantastic place to stroll around and window-shop for the newest fashion trends in Europe. The buses from our suburb all go to the QVB, thus, we admire it quite oftenly. If you get along with the German, find more in a nice article of the Süddeutsche Zeitung.
